ST. NINIAN PARISH TO CELEBRATE MASS FOR SHUT-INS ON NOVEMBER 8th., 2015




MASS FOR SHUT-INS Mass for Shut-ins is a televised broadcast that regularly brings mass into homes
across the Maritimes. This broadcast started as a six-week pilot project put forward
by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Antigonish on the former CJCB-Sydney television
station. The first live broadcast aired on March 3, 1963, and was produced by Fr. Frank Abbass
with Fr. Angus MacLeod as the celebrant.

On November 8, 2015 St. Ninian Parish community is invited to join the Liturgy Committee
at the CTV studio in Sydney to celebrate Mass for Shut-Ins. A bus for transportation and lunch will be
provided to those wishing to attend. Pre-registration is required by contacting the parish office,
902-863-2338. There is a limited amount of seats so please register early.

UPDATE: Fr. Joe MacKenzie will be celebrating the Mass. We have been asked to have 30 parishioners represent the parish
in the studio. Currently, we have 16 parishioners registered. We are in need of 14 more;
register at the parish office, 902-863-2338
